How to contribute
The readthrough is the film in order — every director's note and every character line, spoken end to end. You can listen to it now, with no account.
To change the words themselves you need a login, which is free and takes a couple of minutes: ask for one here and it arrives by email in a minute (or email futurevision@serveit.co.nz with ACCESS in the subject, which works too). If you would rather just tell us something without an account, send a note instead — one sentence is useful.
Here is what an account lets you do.
- Open a readthrough act and find the paragraph you want to react to.
- Hover (or focus) the paragraph. A 🔗 and a ✎ appear in the margin.
- 🔗 copies a link straight to that line — handy for referencing it in a note.
- ✎ opens a small panel. Pick what your suggestion is about — dialogue, action/scene direction, emotional direction, music, audio SFX, wording, or other — then write it.
- Submit. It's saved against that exact line and the version you're reading.
- Greg reviews every suggestion and carries the accepted ones back into the film. If a line changes after you commented, your note is flagged as out-of-date rather than misapplied.
The Treatment, Storyline Summary and Character Bible are reference — read-only, but you can still 🔗 a line to cite it.
The contributor terms
You accept these once, when you first log in. In full, they are: anything you suggest must be your own original work; you grant Primesoft NZ Ltd a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, adapt and incorporate it into the film and works derived from it, in any medium; contributors whose suggestions are used are credited in the film; and please don't submit confidential or third-party material.
The licence is non-exclusive, so you keep the copyright in what you write and stay free to use it elsewhere.
